Monica Stevens lives in rural Altona, Illinois where she raises Shorthorn cattle. Her love of agriculture started as a young girl growing up on her family's corn soybean, hay and cattle farm. Some of her best memories growing up are from tagging along with her dad on the farm. Agriculture is a significant part of her life. In many ways, it has shaped her into the person she is. Photography is a love that she loves sharing. Quite often, her thoughts and feelings are conveyed through the photos she captures. Photographs are truly worth more than words. They have deeper meaning. To her, a photograph is not just the sun setting on a corn field, not just a tractor stirring up dust in the field, not just cows grazing. She sees more. When she snaps a picture, she sees through the camera lens: faith, family, tradition, strength, hard work, pride, love, and even hope. Agriculture is what she knows, loves and appreciates and wants to share her love of Agriculture through her photographs. Check out my blog at http://monicastevens.blogspot.com! In it I will share my love of Agriculture, my daily life on a cattle farm, and stories behind my photos. |
